Anna Denton & The Water of Life - Book Launch

Kent based author Vaughan Hawthorne-Nelson will be launching his first children's book, Anna Denton & The Water of Life at our very own Beaney House of Art & Knowledge on Saturday 12th April from 1.30pm to 4pm.

Vaughan says about the book, 'I wanted to write something that would inform young people about the climate crisis as a real event, not just a dystopian backdrop for a story. Young people above all need hope, hope that they can make a difference just as the character Anna Denton does in my book. You're never too young to make a difference.'

Ideally for mature children from 10-14 years.

Vaughan will be available to sign copies of his book after the talk. Limited tickets available for this special event.

The national release is not until Earth Day on 22nd April. This is a great opportunity to purchase an advance copy.

States of Independence is attended by hundreds of readers and writers, with dozens of events over the day. It is a one-day book fair and festival supporting independent publishing, independent thinking and independent writing. The event is FREE to the general public.
